“Participating in the Outstanding Women in Buddhism Awards Ceremony”

 

 

Venerable Bhikkhunī Dhammadinnā has had the distinct honor of participating in the
Outstanding Women in Buddhism Awards Ceremony, an internationally recognized event
that celebrates the spiritual achievements and societal contributions of Buddhist women
from around the world.  The outstanding Women in Buddhism Awards Ceremony began in
2002 and has been held in consecutively for 24 years thoughtout Thailand and in
Taiwan.

 

In 2023, Venerable Dhammadinna Bhikkuni  attended the ceremony held in Taiwan, where
prominent nuns, scholars, and laywomen gathered to honor the efforts of women who have
shown exceptional leadership and commitment to the Dhamma. In 2024, Venerable
Dhammadinna Bhikkuni she again took partin the ceremony, this time held in Indonesia,
further strengthening the global recognition of the Bhikkhunī Saṅgha. Since its inception in
2002, this annual event has provided a platform to highlight the often-overlook
contributions of women in Buddhism, offering both inspiration and acknowledgment to
practitioners across traditions.
 
Venerable Dhammadinnā Bhikkuni’s continued involvement reflects her unwavering
dedication to spreading the Dhamma, empowering future generations of  female monastics,
and upholding the values of compassion, wisdom, and equality within the Buddhist
